This is a cross skilled position you’ll be the first point of contact for patients who are calling to book their first outpatient appointment to a NHS department, or taking inbound calls on our 111 service regarding non-emergency health problems.When a patient calls you will use your communication and reassurance skills to assess their symptoms using a clinical software tool in order to signpost and transfer patients to appropriate providers or our in house clinical assessment team. You will need excellent communication and listening skills along with the willingness to make a difference.
What hours will I work?
We’re looking for permanent, full-time Healthcare Call Handlers who are fully flexible Monday- Sunday and you will be contracted to 30-40 hours per week. Your shift pattern will fall between these days and hours as stated below.
The Appointment Line: 08:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00 Weekends and Bank Holidays
111 Line: 24/7
Throughout your training periods pay rates will be £8.12 per hour. Once you have successful passed your training the pay will vary depending on the days and hours you work as stated below:
The Appointment Line:
Monday-Saturday £8.12 per hour
Sunday: £10.12 per hour
Monday-Saturday from 7am-11pm £8.70 per hour
Monday-Saturday 11pm-7am and any hours on Sunday £10.70 per hour
